Duns, Berwickshire
Duns is the county town of Berwickshire. It was created a burgh of barony in 1490 by King James IV. The oldest part of Duns Castle, the massive Norman Keep or Pele Tower, supposedly dates from 1320. Duns is within the council area of The Scottish Borders.
