Dunclug, Antrim

Dunclug is an urban area in the north-east of Ballymena, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Dunclug, in the civil parish of Kirkinriola. The townland of Dunclug remained largely rural until the mid 20th century, since when most of it has been developed with suburban housing, effectively becoming a north-eastern suburb of Ballymena. Dunclug College first opened in 1971. The area is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
