Dunalis Souterrain, Londonderry

Dunalis Souterrain is a souterrain, located just west of Dunalis Reservoir in the townland of Dunalis, County Londonderry. It was discovered and excavated in 1934. Three chambers, at slightly different levels, are linked by narrow ‘creeps’ and a long transverse chamber beyond is filled in. There is a faintly scratched Ogham inscription on one of the lintels in the second chamber. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
