Dudbridge, Gloucestershire
Dudbridge is a village in Gloucestershire. It lies on the River Frome, its name deriving from the first bridge across the river. Its site on the fast-flowing river has long made Dudbridge a natural location for industry, with the earliest record of a mill dating from 1235. Later industries included dying, forging and metalwork. It is within the council area of Stroud (Gloucestershire).
