Drumena Cashel, Down

Drumena Cashel is an oval cashel in the townland of Drumena, County Down. The cashel is 130ft x 108ft in extent, with drystone walls up to 12ft thick. There is a T-shaped souterrain in the south-west of the enclosure. The monument is considered an example of a stone farmstead enclosure of the Early Christian period. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
