Drumbeg, Down

Drumbeg is a small village, lying on the south bank of the River Laggan in County Down. It is within the townlands of Drumbeg and Ballygowan, in the civil parish of Drumbeg. The current St Patrick's Parish Church (C of I) dates from 1870 but a church has existed on the site since mediæval times. Drum House dates from the late 17th century, but was rebuilt in the 1870s to the design of the Belfast architect, Thomas Jackson.
