Draperstown, Londonderry
Draperstown is a village, lying in the Sperrin Mountains in County Londonderry. It lies at a crossroads at the intersection of the townlands of Moykeeran, Cahore, Moyheeland and Tonaght, in the civil parish of Ballynascreen. The village began to emerge around the crossroads in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was named Draperstown in 1818 by the Worshipful Company of Drapers. Prior to this, the settlement had several names including 'Ballynacross', 'The Cross' and 'The Cross of Ballynascreen'. The village is within the council area of Mid Ulster.
