Doddershall House, Buckinghamshire

Doddershall House is a 16th-century house near Quainton, Buckinghamshire. Thomas Pigott built the current house around 1510. It is an example of an early Tudor manor house which was built as an unusually advanced courtyard house, and altered in the late 17th and 18th centuries. The central range and the north wing of the 1520s survive substantially intact with a south wing of the 1680s. The house was originally surrounded by a quadrangular moat, and part of it still exists on the south side of the property. It is within the council area of Buckinghamshire.
