Didcot, Berkshire

Didcot is a town in Berkshire. It lies in the broad, flat plain of the River Thames, which river flows about two miles to the north of the town. The town is noted for its railway heritage, Didcot station opening as a junction station on the Great Western Main Line in 1844. Today the town is known for the railway museum and power stations. The town is within the council area of South Oxfordshire (Oxfordshire).
