Devil's Ditch, Cambridgeshire
Devil's Ditch (aka Devil's Dyke) is a linear earthen barrier, thought to be of Anglo-Saxon origin, which runs for about seven miles from Reach to Ditton Green in Cambridgeshire. Devil's Ditch is the largest of the ancient dykes of Cambridgeshire. In some places the bank measures 30ft high and 120ft across. Though the Dyke is thought most likely to be Anglo-Saxon, there is some uncertainty about this date. It is thought to have formed a defensive barrier. It is within the council area of East Cambridgeshire (Cambridgeshire).
