Dervock, Antrim

Dervock is a small village, lying on the River Bush in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Dervock, Ballyratahan Upper and Ballyratahan Lower, in the civil parish of Derrykeighan. St Colman's Church (C of I) was built from 1831-1835 after the previous parish church in Derrykeighan was destroyed in an explosion. Dervock Presbyterian Church was built in 1835, a previous meeting house having stood on the site since 1766. The Church of Our Lady and St John the Evangelist (RC) was built in 2001, on the site of an earlier (1840) chapel. The village is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
