Derby Cathedral, Derbyshire
Derby Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of All Saints) is a Church of England cathedral in Derby, Derbyshire. It is the seat of the Bishop of Derby. The original church of All Saints was founded in the 10th century as a royal collegiate church. A new building was constructed in the 14th-century. The surviving tower was built in Perpendicular Gothic style in 1510-1532. The body of the present building, dating from around 1725, is to a neo-Classical design by James Gibbs. It was elevated to a cathedral in 1927. The cathedral is within the council area of Derby.
