Darnley, Renfrewshire

Darnley is a neighbourhood in the south-west of the Glasgow conurbation. It is in the Eastwood civil parish in Renfrewshire. The historic estate of Darnley was the seat of an ancient barony. During the second half of the 20th century, Darnley experienced total transformation from being a modest semi-rural community to becoming part of Glasgow's response to a post-war housing shortage. It is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
