Danes' Dyke, Yorkshire
The Danes' Dyke is a prehistoric linear boundary enclosing Flamborough Head, Yorkshire, in the East Riding. The dike runs from the coast north of Flamborough Head south for a 2.5 miles, enclosing around five square miles of headland. Believed to date from the Middle Bronze Age, the Danes' Dyke is extremely well preserved and remains a significant boundary in the modern landscape. It is within the council area of East Riding of Yorkshire.
