Dalmarnock, Lanarkshire
Dalmarnock is a district in Glasgow, Lanarkshire. It is situated east of the city centre, directly north of the River Clyde opposite the town of Rutherglen. The area was once heavily industrialised. The Dalmarnock Bridge (1891) crosses the Clyde to the Farme Cross area of Rutherglen. The Commonwealth Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome is an indoor arena and velodrome. It is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
