Cyprus, Essex

Cyprus is an urban area in the south of East Ham, Essex, lying on the north side of the Royal Albert Dock. Cyprus was developed from 1878 by the Port of London Authority. Following post-war redevelopment, little of the Victorian settlement remains. The area has seen substantial development since the 1970s. The University of East London's Dockland campus lies on the north quayside of the Royal Albert Dock. It is within the council area of Newham.
