Cullercoats, Northumberland
Cullercoats is a coastal village in Northumberland. It now forms part of a contiguous urban area with Tynemouth to the south and Whitley Bay to the north. There is a semi-circular sandy beach with cliffs. The village is a popular destination for day-trippers. On Simpson Street there is a row of fishermen's cottages which were preserved during the redevelopment of the village in the 1970s. It is within the council area of North Tyneside.
