Crosby, Lancashire
Crosby is a town in Lancashire. It lies to the north of Bootle with which it is contiguous. The identity of Crosby as a town lies in the creation of the Crosby municipal borough in 1937 and includes a number of pre-existing settlements including Great Crosby (from which the town takes its name), Little Crosby, Blundellsands, Waterloo, Brighton-le-Sands and Thornton. On Crosby Beach is Antony Gormley's art installation Another Place. The town is within the council area of Sefton.
