Creekmouth, Essex
Creekmouth is a former village that is now an urban area in the south of Barking, Essex, lying east of the River Roding where it enters the River Thames. The village was built in the 1850s by John Bennett Lawes for workers at his nearby chemical factory. The village was demolished following the 1953 North Sea Flood and the area is now primarily industrial land. The area is within the council area of Barking and Dagenham.
