Craven Arms is a small Market town in Shropshire. Craven Arms grew with the coming of the railway. The name is from Craven Arms Hotel, which is named after the Lords Craven (who owned nearby Stokesay Castle). The earlier village of Newton now forms the south-eastern part of the town. The town is within the council area of Shropshire.
