Cowlam, Yorkshire

Cowlam is a hamlet and a deserted mediæval village in Yorkshire, in the East Riding. The mediæval village was abandoned in the 17th century. The Norman church of St Mary survived alongside Cowlam House. These, along with several cottages and some 20th-century houses, form the modern hamlet of Cowlam. It is within the council area of East Riding of Yorkshire.
