Cove Bay, Kincardineshire

Cove Bay, known locally as Cove, is a coastal village in the north-east of Kincardineshire. The village sprung up around the fishing industry, with the boats berthed on a shingle beach, a gap in the rocks that afforded a natural harbour. The piers and breakwater were constructed in 1878. The village has become a residential suburb of Aberdeen. It is within the council area of City of Aberdeen.
