Cotehele, Cornwall

Cotehele is a mediæval house with Tudor additions, situated near Calstock, Cornwall. A rambling granite and slate-stone manor house on the banks of the River Tamar, it has been little changed over five centuries. The grounds stretch down to a quay on the River Tamar. There are a number of formal gardens: features include a mediæval dovecote, a stewpond, a Victorian summerhouse and the 18th-century Prospect Tower. The house is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of Cornwall.
