Coseley, Staffordshire

Coseley is a suburban town in Staffordshire, within the Black Country. Coseley was originally a village in the ancient manor of Sedgley. For local government purposes, from 1894-1966, the area around the village of Coseley became the basis for Coseley urban district. Large-scale 20th century housing developments by the district council saw Coseley develop into a small suburban town. The town is within the council area of Dudley.
