Copney Stone Circles, Tyrone

Copney Stone Circles is a complex of prehistoric stone circles, located on the north slope of Copney Hill in the townland of Copney, County Tyrone. The site consists of nine complete or partial stone circles, an alignment, a cairn and a standing stone. Removal of bog from the three largest circles revealed that each was filled with stones and each has a central cairn. There could be other features still under the bog. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Fermanagh and Omagh.
