Coleton Fishacre, Devon
Coleton Fishacre is a small 1920s country house in landscaped gardens near Kingswear, Devon. It was built as a country home for Rupert D'Oyly Carte and his wife, Lady Dorothy Carte, between 1923 and 1926. The architect Oswald Milne designed the house within the principles of the Arts and Crafts Movement. The garden, oringally planted by Lady Dorothy, runs down a narrow combe from the house to the sea at Pudcombe Cove. The property is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of South Hams (Devon).
