Coldstream, Berwickshire
Coldstream is a small town in Berwickshire. It stands on the north bank of the River Tweed in Berwickshire, while Northumberland lies across on the south bank. The town is well known as the home of the Coldstream Guards, the earliest British Army regiment, and is also noted as the location where Edward I of England invaded Scotland in 1296. Coldstream is within the council area of The Scottish Borders.
