Coed-y-Gaer Hillfort, Shropshire

Coed y Gaer is an Iron Age hillfort near Rhydycroesau, Shropshire. It is located on a ridge on the English/Welsh border at 1,150ft and covering an area of 1.5 acres, completely covered by trees. The rampart has collapsed but is still visible. There is a derelict 19th century hunting lodge at the southern end. It is within the council area of Shropshire.
