Cock Howe, Yorkshire

Cock Howe is a prehistoric round barrow situated in a prominent position on the north of the Hambleton Hills overlooking Bilsdale, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. The barrow has an earth and stone mound standing 6ft high. It is round in shape and 50ft in diameter. In the centre of the mound is a slight depression resulting from investigations of the mound in the past. On the north-east of the mound is a boundary stone. It is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
