Clydebank, Dunbartonshire
Clydebank is a town in Dunbartonshire, on the north bank of the River Clyde downstream from Glasgow. The town grew up alongside J & G Thomson's shipyard. The name was coined when the Clydebank police burgh was incorporated in 1886. The town is within the council area of West Dunbartonshire.
