Clifton Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Paul) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire. It is the seat of the Bishop of Clifton. It was built from 1969-73 to the designs of Ronald Weeks, E.S. Jennett and Antoni Poremba of the Percy Thomas Partnership. Hexagonal in plan, with the altar and sanctuary set almost in the centre of the building, it is often described as being the first cathedral in the world to accord completely with the liturgical guidelines issued by the Vatican in November 1963. The cathedral is within the council area of Bristol.
