MenuCliff Vale, Staffordshire
Cliff Vale is an urban area to the east of Basford, Staffordshire. The area, in the valley of the Fowlea Brook, was, along with Hartshill, part of a Norman deer park until the 15th century. The area developed as an residential site after the opening of the Cliffe Vale Pottery by T.W. Twyford in 1887. It is now largely contiguous with Basford, Etruria and Hartshill. It is within the council area of Stoke-on-Trent.
