Cleveleys, Lancashire

Cleveleys is a town on the Fylde Coast of Lancashire. It now forms the northern end of a contiguous urban area along this stretch of the coast including Bispham and Blackpool to its south. It is also now contiguous with Thornton to its east. Cleveleys lies on the Blackpool tramway. For local government purposes, from 1927-1974 it was part of the urban district of Thornton-Cleveleys, this name still sometimes being used to describe the conurbation of Thornton with Cleveleys. The town is within the council area of Wyre (Lancashire).
