Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
Cleethorpes is a seaside resort town in Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey, standing on the Humber estuary. Cleethorpes developed as a resort in the 19th century. Before becoming a unified town, Cleethorpes was made up of three small villages, or "thorpes": Itterby, Oole and Thrunscoe. The town is within the council area of North East Lincolnshire.
