Clawdd Mawr, Montgomeryshire

Clawdd Mawr is an ancient linear earthwork on Rhial Gwm, Montgomeryshire. It may date from the later prehistoric/mediæval period. This well-preserved linear earthwork runs across a ridge, with a total length of approximately 1,600ft. It has an average height of 10-13ft. There is a ditch on the northern side which is up to 5ft deep. It is within the council area of Powys.
