Clapton, Cambridgeshire
Clapton is a deserted mediæval village near Croydon in Cambridgeshire. The village is referenced in Domesday, but is believed to have been deserted in the early 16th century when the landowner, John Fisher, evicted the villagers to create enclosures. It is within the council area of South Cambridgeshire (Cambridgeshire).
