Clanvaraghan, Down

Clanvaraghan (aka Clonvaraghan) is a small village in County Down. It is within the townland of Clonvaraghan, in the civil parish of Kilmegan. St Mary of the Angels Church (RC) was consecrated in 1937. The earliest Catholic church in the townland was built in 1785 in what is now the old graveyard. Most of the housing in the village dates from the post-war era. The village is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
