Church End is an urban area in the west of Willesden, Middlesex. It is the area around St Mary's Church which was founded c.938, the present building dating from the 13th century. The church and its associated holy well were a major place of pilgrimage from the 14th to 16th centuries, the Our Lady of Willesden statue being believed to possess miraculous powers. The statue was destroyed by Thomas Cromwell in 1538. The shrine and the well have been restored in recent times and the pilgrimage tradition continues. The area is within the council area of Brent.
