Church-end Ring, Wiltshire

Church-end Ring is a prehistoric 'banjo' enclosure, situated on West Hill above the Wylye Valley in Wiltshire. The banjo enclosure survives as a roughly pear shaped enclosure covering approximately 2.5 acres with a 200ft long linear entrance passage flanked by side ditches with wide sweeping loops which curve around to create the enclosure. Within the enclosed area are at least five round houses. It is within the council area of Wiltshire.
