Chrome Hill, Down

Chrome Hill is a detached multi-bay two-storey rendered late 17th-century house, situated near Ballyskeagh, County Down. It is within the townland of Ballyskeagh, in the civil parish of Lambeg. Originally called Lambeg House, and possibly built by the linen merchant Abraham Wolfenden around 1670, the house was renamed ‘Chrome Hill’ by Richard Niven after 1830. The house is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
