Christ Church Cathedral, Antrim

Christ Church Cathedral (aka Lisburn Cathedral) is an early 18th-century Church of Ireland stone hall and spire type cathedral, situated on the Market Square in Lisburn, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Lisnagarvy, in the civil parish of Blaris. The current church, which dates from 1719, occupies the site on which Sir Fulke Conway established the chapel of St Thomas's Chapel in 1623. The spire, added to the tower around 1805, is a dominant feature on the skyline of Lisburn. The chancel was added in 1888. The church is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
