Chirk Castle, Denbighshire
Chirk Castle is a 13th-century castle converted into a stately home, located near Chirk, Denbighshire. It was once the administrative centre for the Marcher Lordship of Chirkland. The property is notable for its gardens, with clipped yew hedges, herbaceous borders, rock gardens and terraces, and surrounded by 18th-century parkland, originally laid out as a deer park in the 14th century. It is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of Wrexham.
