Chingford Green, Essex

Chingford Green is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in the larger town of Chingford, Essex. In 1844 the church of St Peter and St Paul, designed by Lewis Vulliamy, replaced Chingford Mount’s All Saints as the parish church. Following the opening of Chingford railway station close to the hamlet in 1873, the area saw large-scale suburban development. It is within the council area of Walthamstow.
