Childwall, Lancashire

Childwall is a former village that is now a suburb of Liverpool, Lancashire. Mentioned in Domesday, Childwall formed part of the West Derby Hundred. For local government purposes, it was the basis of the Childwall urban district from 1894-1913, at which time it was incorporated into the county borough of Liverpool. All Saints' Church dates from the 14th century. It is within the council area of Liverpool.
