Childerley Hall, Cambridgeshire

Childerley Hall is a 16th-century red-brick manor house in Cambridgeshire. The present Childerley Hall was built, along with moated gardens, in the late 16th century by the fourth Sir John Cutts. The hall was built on the site of an earlier moated building which from c. 1520 had been accompanied by a small deer park, itself lying on the site of the depopulated village of Little Childerley. The village of Great Childerley was depopulated in the mid 17th century and the parkland around the hall extended. The hall is within the council area of South Cambridgeshire (Cambridgeshire).
