Chettle Long Barrow, Dorset
Chettle Long Barrow is a Neolithic long barrow, situated in the north-east corner of Eastbury Park near Chettle in Dorset. The barrow mound is 180ft long and 70ft wide, orientated north-west to south-east. The mound has a maximum height of 10ft. Numerous human bones were found when an unspecified part of the barrow was removed to make a grotto before 1767. It is within the council area of Dorset.
