Cherbury Camp, Berkshire
Cherbury Camp is an Iron Age defensive earthwork near Charney Bassett, Berkshire. Though similar to an Iron Age hillfort, the site is not on a hill or other vantage point. Since the surrounding area was previously marshy, the site may have had strategic importance. It is within the council area of Vale of White Horse (Oxfordshire).
