Chepstow Bridge, Gloucestershire / Monmouthshire
Chepstow Bridge (aka the Old Wye Bridge) is an early 19th-century cast iron bridge across the River Wye joining Chepstow, Monmouthshire with Tutshill, Gloucestershire. Although there had been wooden bridges on the site since Norman times, the current bridge was constructed in 1816, designed by John Rastrick of Bridgnorth. It carried the main A48 road until 1988, when a new bridge was opened downstream. It is within the council area of Forest of Dean (Gloucestershire).
