Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Cheltenham (also known as Cheltanham Spa) is a spa town on the edge of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. It was first recorded in 803 as 'Celtan hom'. Cheltenham became known as a spa town following the discovery of mineral springs in 1716. It is famous for its Regency period architecture. It is within the council area of Cheltenham (Gloucestershire).
