Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire
Cheadle Hulme is a suburban village in Cheshire. The village lies in the Ladybrook Valley on the Cheshire Plain. The opening of Cheadle Hulme's first railway station in 1842 led to an expansion of the village. Hulme Hall, a timber-framed manor house, dates from the 16th or 17th century. 20th-century development saw it become suburban in nature. It is now contiguous with Gatley to its north-west and Bramhall to its east. The village is within the council area of Stockport.
